Meeting up with friends that I've not seen, for certain reasons, in over a year and finding out that "everything's cool" is a wonderfully liberating experience. Who would have guessed that a super-bowl party would have been the vector to cure my ills.
The sparks are flying upward again.

- Don't know if I'll ever get over characters addressing him as "Sherlock" and not "Holmes".
- I can live with the updated look.
- Watson (sorry... John :roll eyes:) smells a bit too much of "Stupid Watson". Yeah, sure it's the first ep but... where oh where is my Edward Hardwicke. Yeah, he's capable when the script calls for it but all other times he comes off as some head in the clouds punter out on the pull. :rolls up newspaper: This is "no" :smacks on nose:
- Still the inclusion of modern smart-phone tech was fairly well done.
- Sorry... but that is *NOT* Mycroft Holmes. I get it. I get it. You wanted to swerve us with the whole Moriarty thingy but 'fo reals... that shit is waaaaay too active and way too "unbrotherly" to be Mycroft (Sherringford on the other hand...).
- Also: you're up-playing the "are they gay or aren't they" thing too early in the story. Slow your roll. Let it get all X-Files on us (is they?! ain't they?!).
- All in all enjoyable. Liked it and would like to see where they go with this (read *CAUTIOUSLY*, slightly optimistic).

I almost forgot! I have my first juried art show on Friday. AND I'm being interviewed for a documentary on it as well.
